Document: 89th Congress, 2D Session, H.R. 4671, Recommended Revision, April 25, 1966, page 5656 1 against California, and others (376 U.S. 340), or, except 2 as otherwise provided herein, the Boulder Canyon Project 3 Act (45 Stat. 1057), the Boulder Canyon Project Adjust- 4 ment Act (54 Stat. 774) or the Colorado River Storage 5 Project Act (70 Stat. 105). 6 (b) The Secretary is authorized and directed to- 7 (1) make reports as to the annual consumptive uses 8 and losses of water from the Colorado River system after 9 each successive five-year period, beginning with the five- 10 year period starting on October 1, 1965. Such reports 11 shall be prepared in consullation with the States of the 12 Lower Basin individually and with the Upper Colo- 13 rado River Commission, and shall be transmitted to the 14 President, the Congress, and to the Governors of each 15 State signatory to the Colorado River compact. 16 (2) condition all contracts for the delivery of water 17 originating in the drainage basin of the Colorado River 18 system upon the availability of water under the Colo- 19 rado River compact, and 20 (3) comply with the applicable provisions of this 21 Act, and of the laws, trealy, compacts, and decree re- 22 ferred to in paragraph (a) of this section, in the storage 23 and release of water from all reservoirs and in the opera- 24 tion and maintenance of all facilities in the Colorado 25 River system under the jurisdiction and supervision ofEpson Perfection 4870 Photo, 400 dpi, 8 bit, 1,538,287 byte
