B. Central Arizona Unit This unit would include all features of the proposed Central Arizona Project except Bridge Canyon Dam located on the main stem of the river and those features located in the State of New Mexico which are included in a separate division. 1. Aqueducts These represent the backbone canal and aqueduct system extending from Havasu Lake to Tucson, including pumping plants, power drops, and related features required for conveyance of water to the direct service zone of the project. 2. Buttes Dam and Reservoir An integral part of the Central Arizona Project for which feasibility studies have been completed. The Buttes Dam and Reservoir Project is now ready for immediate authorization and construction. It would provide supplemental water to the San Carlos Project in Pinal County. 3. Maxwell Dam and Reservoir An integral part of the Central Arizona Project for which feasibility studies are now in progress.
