Larson Page 3 August 28, 1959 We strongly urge that in the planning of any transmission system it should be recognized that (??) is panding before the Federal Power Commission an application for a license to the State of Arizona to construct Marble Canyon Dam. Moreover, the Bureau of Reclamation plans to complete, in fiscal year 1960, a report on the Marble Canyon Power Project. Any transmission system in the planning stage at this time should be predicated upon the ultimate construction of Marble Canyon Dam and should be as located as to facilitate interconnection with the Marble Canyon power plant. Glen Canyon will undoubtedly have available a certain amount of secondary and dump energy. The state of Arizona will have a market sample to absorb any reasonable quantities of such energy and will expect to participate in its purchase.
