Details of the solution have been formalized in a Minute of the International Boundary and Water Commission, United States and Mexico, which is to be in effect for a period of five years. Upon termination of this period, the Commission will review conditions and determine whether a new Minute should be adopted to avoid reoccurrence of the problem.
