-4- III Tentative Findings on the Wellton-Mohawk district 1. There are about 90,000 acres in the projects of which some 75,000 are to be used for farming. Soil tests in the district show that the salt content of the soil in the 60,000 acres now being farmed is less than .2%, 1. e., that the soil is in excellent condition and almost all of the salt has been leached from it. In the remaining 15,000 tillable acres, salt content is 1% or less. 2. The water table for the 60,000 acres is down to about 10-12 feet. Only 3% of the district is still waterlogged. 3.
