PERAN BALAI PEMASYARAKATAN KELAS 1 YOGYAKARTA DALAM MENJALANKAN PROGRAM BIMBINGAN TERHADAP ANAK PIDANA YANG MENDAPATPEMBEBASAN BERSYARAT

This research explains about the roles of the Class 1 Yogyakarta Correctional Facility in applying the guidance program toward the criminal children who get the conditional release. Nowadays, the crimes conducted by the children have highly increased. Thus, those children should be handled differently from the adults by giving them guidance in the Correctional Facility. The purpose of this research is to obtain the data about the implementation of the guidance program by the Class 1 Yogyakarta Correctional Facility toward the criminal children who get the conditional release. The method used in this research is the normative law method; that is the use of the secondary data as the main data in the form of primary, secondary and tertiary law materials. The data analysis uses the qualitative method and the deductive framework (general – specific).The result of this research shows that the implementation of the guidance program toward the criminal children who get the conditional release consists of 5 (five) training materials: the guidance toward religion, the guidance on country awareness, the guidance on legal awareness, the guidance on self-autonomy, and the social and mental guidance. As for the obstacles, there are the inadequate facilities and infrastructure, the limited budget, the residential locations of the criminal children which are unreachable by the staff of Class 1 Yogyakarta Correctional Facility
