Rights-of-way--At reservoir elevation 4300, the area required for rights-of-way would be approximately 76,000 acres. Approximately 45,000 acres lie within the present boundaries of the Navajo Indian Reservation which are also included in Powersite Withdrawals Nos. 450 and 451. Most of the remaining lands are privately-owned, State-owned, or are public domain outside an organized grazing district. A small part of Wupatki National Monument would also be inundated, but the flowage would not affect any of the know archeological attractions. Relocation of a portion of U.S. Highway 89, which crosses the Little Colorado River, would be required and improvements at Cameron, Arizona, valued at $700,000, would have to be acquired.
