THE EFFECT OF PICTURE MEDIA ON STUDENT’S ABILITY IN WRITING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT AT GRADE X OF SMK KESATUAN MERANTI IN ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2019/2020

ABSTRAK English is an International Language and it is used by people in the world. English is one of subjects which given from elementary school until university level as a compulsory subject. English can bring your future to be bright. Because that English is designed to develop knowledge and ability of the students to make the bright future through four basic skills namely are Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. But, which should be the objective is writing skill students. Writing is the way to send knowledge, information, ideas and also to be friends’ on the papers’. Writing that like the first friends’ for us ability expression feeling through writing. In spite of the fact that, for most students, writing is probably considered the most difficult among four skills, up to now English teaching and learning model practiced in the classroom has not given significant proportion to writing yet. Most of the teachers have not given a lot of opportunities to the students to practice and develop writing skill and have not given correct treatment to the students’ writing problem. The teachers also have not found yet appropriate method and technique to teach writing effectively Kata Kunci : Effect, Picture, Medi
