PENANGGULANGAN TERHADAP PELANGGARAN LALU LINTAS JALAN RAYA MENURUT UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 22 TAHUN 2009

Traffic and road transport has a strategic role in supporting the development and national integration as part of efforts to promote the welfare of the community. As part of the national transportation system, traffic and road transport should be developed to realize the potential and role of security, prosperity and order. To improve services in the field of security, safety, public order and smooth traffic, Act No. 22 of 2009 to regulate and mandate the existence of information and communication systems as traffic, road transport is supported by an integrated subsystem built. In addition to the personal criminal sanctions for traffic violations, of Law Number 22 Year 2009 also regulates the administrative sanctions imposed for public transport providers. This study aims to identify and assess the efforts of law enforcement against perpetrators of traffic violations in the jurisdiction of Yogyakarta Police Department. The research is in the writing of this law is empirical legal research, namely the study presented primary data source was obtained directly from research in the field. From this research it is known that still lack the level of awareness about the safety of driving, it is shown by the increasing traffic violations. To be able to suppress the offense is a good idea in giving sanction to be more assertive so that people will create a deterrent to repeat violations again
