FUNGSI BANTUAN HUKUM BAGI ANGGOTA POLRI PELAKU TINDAK PIDANA KEKERASAN DALAM RUMAH TANGGA

In this legal writing, the problem formulations are: 1) how is the process of providing legal assistance to the members of Indonesia Police Force in legal area of Regional Police Force of Yogyakarta Special Region that conducted criminal action of domestic violence?; 2) what are the barriers faced in providing legal assistance? The purpose of this research was to gain data concerning on the function of legal assistance to the members of Indonesia Police Force as well as to gain data concerning on the barriers faced in providing legal assistance. The method of research used was juridical empiric legal research. The result of this research shows the function of legal assistance of Indonesian Police Force has been conducted by the establishment of Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2003 on the Technical Institutional Implementation of General Judicature to the Members of Indonesia Police Force. The suggestion to the institution of Indonesia Police Force is hopefully it increases its professionalism in particularly in division of Legal Construction. For the members of Indonesia Police Force hopefully they maximize furthermore the providing of legal assistance that exists in their institution.
