EFEKTIVITAS PEMBERIAN REMISI SEBAGAI MOTIVASI DALAM MENGUBAH PERILAKU NARAPIDANA TINDAK PIDANA KORUPSI DI LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN WIROGUNAN YOGYAKARTA

This legal/thesis writing is titled "Effectiveness of Remission as Motivation in Changing the Behavior of Convicted Corruption at Wirogunan Correctional Facility Yogyakarta". The legal issue in this legal / thesis writing is How Effective is Remission as Motivation in Changing the Behavior of Convicted Corruption at Wirogunan Correctional Facility Yogyakarta. This legal writing aims to determine and assess the effectiveness of remissions as motivation in changing the behavior of convicted corruption at Wirogunan Correctional Facility. The type of research conducted is empirical legal research focusing on law in action, and this study uses primary data as main data and secondary data as supporting data. The study for this type of research is the sociology of law. The context of this research is Wirogunan Correctional Facility Yogyakarta. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. The primary data includes the data obtained from the research sample and respondents. The sample of this research was determined using purposive sampling technique or sampling done by collecting subjects based on a specific purpose. The respondents of this research are convicted corruptors serving sentences in Wirogunan Correctional Facility Yogyakarta. In this study, the sources are Officers in Wirogunan Correctional Facility Yogyakarta. The secondary data are obtained from primary legal materials including positive legal norm in the form of law; secondary legal materials including books, papers, research results, the internet, opinions of legal scholars, legal practitioners and newspapers relevant to the issue studied by the author; and tertiary legal materials in the form of the Great Dictionary of the Indonesian Language. The data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and literature study. The data obtained and collected from the results of the study were analyzed qualitatively. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of remission as motivation in changing the behavior of convicted corruption at Wirogunan Correctional Facility Yogyakarta is quite effective
