This course is designed to help participants understand the unique needs of students with chronic or acute health conditions. Students will examine various medical diagnoses and their effect on educational performance and the impact on the lives of students and their families. Students will learn the process of identifying and evaluating students, birth through age 21, and how to implement the state OHD criteria. Service options, roles of team members, and appropriate educational planning and strategies will be explained and discussed
