Vitamin B12 supplementation in specific clinical conditions in diabetic patients has been recommended in the guidelines. These recommendations reflect reports confirming the importance of vitamin B12 supplementation in the treatment of diabetic complications, as well as to correct its deficiency during metformin treatment.
