Komatiites contain economic important nickel, chromium, titanium and copper deposits and their spectral absorption characters are highly important in the remote sensing technique to map and explore such deposits bearing rocks. This study integrates hyperspectral signatures; petrological and geochemical characters of serpentinite bearing ultramafic komatiite rock noticed at the Ghattihosahalli Schist Belt (GSB), near Kumminagatta village, in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka, India and demonstrate specific spectral absorptions of the rock.
