The present study A study on fertility and mortality among Vishwakarma Population of Mysore District is undertaken to understand the biological maintenance and survival index of the Vishwakarma population in Mysore district of Karnataka state. The data were collected from 514 families of Vishwakarma Population of Mysore District, Karnataka State, India. Fertility is measured by the average number of livebirths and mortality by the foetal deaths, neonatal deaths, infantile deaths, child mortality and deaths after six years of age.
