The layout was selected with an assessment in the present report. All measures required for the assessment have been detailed. The selection stage is a very critical step for any solution method. A method for assessing the architecture of the facility was addressed in this report. A realistic case study was performed on the automotive industry. At the assessment stage of the design process, two choices existed and the factor analysis approach for choosing the best among them was introduced. The score for alternative 1 and 2 is as follows: 965 or 829, so alternative 1 is better chosen. This research is very helpful in choosing the right layout for the project designer.
