Hence, to know the status of river water quality, assessment of river water quality was essential. The analysis of Panchganga river water at Kolhapur was done in the period of January2018-December 2018. The analysis was carried out for various parameters like pH, DO, BOD, COD, Chlorides, Sulphate, Calcium, Magnesium and Hardness, etc. The obtained results were compared with WHO & ICMR values.
