This paper aims to highlight the subtle distinction in modules of green building rating systems with the help of an energy model. Various green building rating systems such as GRIHA, and IGBC that are indigenously developed and majorly used in India have been discussed. Brief attention to a particular module has been given and differences have been studied between the two green building rating systems
