Groundwater recharge from surface water sources is an essential aspect in any watershed or a hydrological unit. For any small scale groundwater assessment, experimental approaches are usually adopted. However, recharge into aquifers depends on several hydrogeological factors on a regional scale analysis; groundwater assessment is conducted in a comprehensive approach considering all the geospatial data of different contributing factors. These factors include geomorphological, geological and structural elements like lineaments, drainage frequency, drainage density, lithology, land use and land cover.
