The common problem frequently found in tourism activities is environmental pollution caused by solid waste due to a lack of management focusing on environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze how the waste management (zero waste) application in the tourism industry impacts the sustainability of environmental aspects with the support of youth groups in an area. Qualitative research method is employed with observation and interviews as data collection, afterward the data are analyzed using content analysis. The results show that there is a link between the development of halal tourism with the application of zero waste known to the community by maintaining environmental cleanliness which is a reflection of the teachings of Islam. ...
