PENGARUH KECEPATAN SENTRIFUGASI PADA PROSES PEMISAHAN HASIL EKSTRAK TERIPANG PASIR (HOLOTHURIA SCABRA) SEBAGAI SUMBER TESTOSTERON ALAMI DAN ANTIGEN

Testosterone is one of the male hormones that can be extracted from sea cucumber. Except of producing testosterone, the methanol soluble part is also a source of t_lectin used as an antifungal. This study aims to determine the effect of centrifuge on sea cucumber extraction in the separation of testosterone and T-lectin. The spin speeds used in this study were 1000, 2000 and 3000 rpm, while separation times used were 15 minutes and 30 minutes. Completely randomized design factorial with 3 times replications used in this study showed that the average of highest testosterone obtained at the centrifuge spin speed of 3000 rpm as big as 0.54345 mg/g (dry weight, dw), followed by 2000 rpm 0.4707 mg/g and 0.3742 mg/g at speed of 1000 rpm. The influence of the separation time showed the highest result obtained during 15 minutes, that is 0, 63457mg/g (dw), is highly significant to the separation time of 30 minutes i.e. 0.29442 mg/g (dw)
