The treatment of wastewater occur a large amount of sludge that contains high percentage of water and substances that provide a poor quality of wastewater (suspended organic and inorganic substances, substances that give unpleasant odors, bacteria, etc.). The high content of water in the sludge requires relatively large objects for sludge processing. This indicates the need for application procedures for treating sludge to volume reduce, stabilization of substances subject to decay and destruction of pathogenic microorganisms and parasites. In this paper are describes procedures for reducing the volume of sludge, rather procedures for sludge dehydration. Keywards: wastewater, sludge, gravity, fl otation, centrifugal, thickening
