This work aims to investigate the possibilities presented by images to circulate unaddressed, untreated themes. In particular, it will focus on the virtues of the cinematographic device in relation to the management of contemporary themes, especially considering its role as an agent in emotional conformations. With this interest, fragments of two documentary film productions, Sadness and Piety (Ophüls, France, 1969) and A Field of Battle. Woman’s Body (Álvarez, Argentina, 2013).
