Utrjena prazgodovinska naselja v Mirenski in Temeniški dolini

The subject of the paper relates to the field of settlement archaeology, taking into account site location, environmental characteristics, possiblc spatial communications etc. The discussion, comprising the area of central Slovenia (the valleys of the Mirna and Temenica) focuses on Iron Age settlement. but considers other archaeological periods as vvell (Eneolithic, Bronze Age, late Classical Antiquity). Presenting the results of test excavations at eight fortificd prehistoric scttlements, the paper centers on their chronological ordering and stratigraphic sequences; hovvever. other problems are also briefly addressed (fortifications, relationships between settlements and cemetcries).Snov tega prispevka sodi v sklop naselbinske arheologije, upoštevajoč lego najdišč, značilnosti okolja, možne prostorske komunikacije itd. Obravnava poselitev prostora osrednje Slovenije (Mirensko in Temeniško dolino) s poudarkom na železni dobi, čeprav upošteva tudi ostale arheološke dobe (eneolitik. bronasto dobo, pozno antiko). Predstavljeni so rezultati sondiranj osmih utrjenih prazgodovinskih naselij. Težišče razprave je na kronološki razvrstitvi in stratigrafski situaciji le-tch. dotakne pa se tudi drugih problemov, kot so fortifikacije in odnos naselij do grobišč
