The aim of the study was to determine the specificity of the agricultural land market in Poland compared to the European market in terms of what stimulates and what restrict its development. The results of the analysis confirmed that the Polish accession to the European Union is one of the main drivers of change in the agricultural land market, consisting in the growth rate of the market and land prices. This phenomenon is also observed in the other countries belonging to the so- called "new" in the structure of the EU.
