Italy, March 9th My Dearest Sweetheart Good evening my sweet & how is my best girl by now? As for myself I am feeling fine again, my cold is about all gone & I got by with out my usual spell with my throat. To-day has been pretty nice. It looked as if it might rain this morning but it cleared up and turned out to be a nice day after all. Well my sweet I got some mail to-day. And it was a good thing I did. I dont know what was wrong with me unless it was just one of those times when I wanted you. I couldent rest last night after I did go to bed. And since it was a pretty moon light night I wandered around untill almost midnight before going to bed. Sweetheart I don't know, I have tried as hard as the Devil to keep from writing to you when I am blue & down in the dumps. But Honey I just have to talk to some one. And the only one that can do me any good and you are so far away. That is your far away as far as the miles go. But sweet you are always in my mind day & night. It doesnt matter what I am doing or where I am. Honey I don't know whether I am going to finish this no
