Arkansas A.P.O. 464 % P/M NY, NY December 17, 1943 My Dearest Sweetheart Somewhere in Italy I waited untill this evening to write thinking maby I would get a letter, but didn't so will write anyhow. This leave me just fine and I hope you and youngsters are OK also. We have had three days of sunshine now, so a lot of the mud here has dried up. It still isn't so cold, only a little cool in the mornings. I don't know wheather it gets so very cold here or not. It has been fairly quiet now for a couple of days & nights. I guess old Jerry will probably give us a few rounds to-night just for good measure. Well sweet there isn't a whole lot to write about from here, so try and not worry more than you can help. Give all the folks my love and keep lots for your self. Write as often as you can find time. I always look for them. All my love sweet & may God keep you safe in his care. Your Hubby Le
