The present work is designed to foster the understanding of traditional phenomena and the pattern of changes in the historical transmission of scientifical knowledge from the classical Antiquity until the Middle Ages. A comparative study is made here of the ideas championed by the classical Greek-Roman and the Hebrew medicine on one side and Maimonides's doctrine on the other, as regards the influence of the environmental air and the wind on the people's health.
