Conundrums of the second line health care workers during the time of a pandemic: analytical solutions based on the experience from a developing country

The COVID 19 pandemic has affected the entire world, and it is continuing to spread morbidity, mortality, and chaos. The second line of health care workers who are not treating the COVID 19 infected patients also plays a significant role during this pandemic by treating other diseases and screening for COVID 19 infection. Nevertheless, many of them still struggle to identify and understand their role, lost between the idea of self-protection and principles of medical ethics.
