The aim of this study is to investigate consumer perceptions of the brand personality of an energy drink, and to find out how brand loyalty and purchase intention are influenced by this personality and by the cultural characteristics of the respondents. 400 surveys were carried out with students from four universities in the city of Cuenca (Ecuador). A confirmatory factor analysis was run to assess the reliability and validity of the measurement instrument, and a structural equations model was used to test the hypotheses.
