The first Psychological Support Services in Higher Education Institutions emerged from circumstantial support that a mentor offered to students to help them solve academic difficulties or to recommend the student to the labor market. Currently, the support services are organized in quite ways. Some services give priority to the intervention with the student and act on three periods of his trajectory in Higher Education - input, frequency to the course and the insertion in the labor market. Others services support students indirectly by increasing the educational effectiveness obtained from actions with teachers and educational staff.
