Background: Alopecia areata (AA) is a common cause of noncicatricial alopecia that etiologic factor of this disease not yet recognized. The objective of this study was the association between Thyroid hormones changes and alopecia areata. Methods: We analyzed medical records of 130 patients, in Sabzevar clinic from 2016-2017. Patients having AA considered as case group while 65 normal people who had not any form of AA considered as control group. Collected data were analyzed statistically in SPSS software 21th version. Results: Findings showed that the prevalence of TSH in the patients group was 10.8% in comparison with control group. Also, 9.2% of patients had T4 disorder.
