Peranan Dinas Perhubungan Kota Pekanbaru Dalam Membina Petugas Parkir

The problem of this research is that the technical implementation in the field has not been maximized resulting in many violations of the parking system. The violation can be seen as a poor parking system, irresponsible parking attendants and parking officers simply let the parking users in the process of parking and removing their vehicles. This study aims to determine how the role of the Pekanbaru transportation agency in fostering parking attendants. The assessment indicators of parking officers used include guidance, supervision, direction, and training. The type of research used is Quantitative and Qualitative, located in the Transportation Department of the City of Pekanbaru in the Parking Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of Parking. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the transportation department in fostering parking attendants in Pekanbaru City and to determine the obstacles in the role of the Department of Transportation in fostering parking attendants in Pekanbaru City. The method used is qualitative and quantitative. The type of research that is located in the Pekanbaru City Transportation Department as the Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of Parking is a descriptive survey, which prioritizes the questionnaire list as a data collection tool. There are two population groups and samples in this study, namely the Head of UPT Parking with 1 person, 1 team with 1 supervision, 1 person with Parking and 24 people, and 20 people using parking services. Two sampling techniques used in determining individual samples are census techniques for parking attendant populations and incidental sampling techniques for population groups. Types and data collection techniques used consist of, primary data collected using questionnaire and interview techniques and secondary data collected using observation techniques.
