Movimientos y Sentimientos

This text reviews the theory of recognition and focuses on the study of the role of emotions in collectiveaction and social movements. It shows how emotion becomes feeling and creates a need to bemet, leading to action. Anger, for example, as emotion, moves on to the feeling of indignation, and itis expressed in many forms, including the pursuit of justice and recognition. This point lands and deepensthe study with the experience of the student movement in Mexico #YoSoy132 in 2012. The researchis based on interviews with members of the movement. The presence and importance offeelings in collective action and social movements through the proposed case study is finally shown.Este artículo revisa la teoría del reconocimiento y se centra en el estudio del papel de las emociones en acciones colectivas y movimientos sociales. El texto muestra cómo la emoción se convierte en sentimiento y crea una necesidad que, para ser satisfecha, lleva a la acción. Del enojo, por ejemplo, como emoción se pasa al sentimiento de indignación, y éste se expresa en múltiples formas, entre ellas la búsqueda de la justicia y de reconocimiento. Esta tesis aterriza y profundiza con el estudio y la experiencia del movimiento estudiantil #YoSoy132 en México en el año 2012. La investigación se basa en entrevistas a personas integrantes del movimiento. Finalmente queda demostrada la presencia e importancia de los sentimientos en acciones colectivas y movimientos sociales a través del estudio del caso propuesto
