Proadrenomedullin (pADM)-derived peptides, adrenomedullin (ADM) and pADM N-terminal 20 peptide (PAMP), are hypotensive peptides, which are expressed, along with their receptors, in several tissues and organs, the function of which they regulate by acting in an autocrine-paracrine manner.
