Various studies have indicated that exercise is related to several psychological variables in females. The purpose of this study was to study the relationships that are established between exercise and some of these variables (anxiety, depression, and self-concept) in adolescent females from Murcia, Spain, and to observe how these variables are influenced by the type of physical activity that they participate in, the intensity, the frequency, and their satisfaction with this exercise. The sample was composed of 226 16-19 year-old female students from secondary schools in Murcia.
