This paper attempts to show the dynamics in the adaptation process of Spanish anglicisms and the parallel of such dynamics with processes operanting in pidgin languages. Similarities are found in the areas of pronunciation and morphology. The mixing of linguistic features is less widespread in Spanish than in mixed languages. Differences of degree and non-comparable factors such as spelling and the proliferation or duplication of vocabulary items in Spanish are also apparent.
