LA VEGA DEL SEGURA, LUGAR DE ASENTAMIENTO DE LOS PRIMEROS POBLADORES

The historical, fluvial and structural arguments are put forward in order to explain the disposition of populated areas in the low-lying fertile land of Murcia in the period anterior to the IX century, a phase when hydraulic engineering allowed the permanent establishment of settlements and the creation of the Islamic city OS Murcia.
