SITUACIÓN ATMOSFÉRICA EN LA CUENCA HIDROGRÁFICA DEL SEGURA. NOVIEMBRE-1987

The torrential rains occured in november of 1987 on the Segura Basin are a new example of the abnormal deviations configurating the mediterranean climate of the Iberica Peninsula. A could drop on the Strait of Gibraltar and the Madeira island has produced on the peninsula a cyclonic circulation from the southeast with intensive rains, producing important inundations specially catastrophic on the basin of the Segura RiverLas lluvias torrenciales desencadenadas en noviembre de 1987 en la Cuenca del Segura constituyen un nuevo ejemplo de las desviaciones anormales que configura11 el clima mcditerráneo de la Península. En esta ocasión, ha sido la formación de una gota fría sobre el Estrecho de Gibraltar y región de Madeira la que ha dado lugar en la Península a una circulación ciclónica del sureste acompañada de intensas precipitaciones, que provocaron importantes crecidas fluviales, particularr~ientec atastróficas, en la Cuenca del Río Segur
