ANÁLISIS DE LA SATISFACCIÓN DEL TURISTA DE PAQUETES TURÍSTICOS RESPECTO A LAS ACTIVIDADES DE OCIO EN EL DESTINO: EL CASO DE REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA

     This paper analyses the tourists’ satisfaction level with leisure activities and services as well as with their free time enjoyment in the destination. Based on this, it is possible to obtain rates of satisfaction with the main attributes of the leisure services, and their future implications. With this objective, this empirical research is developed by means of 956 personal interviews in the Dominican Republic for its two main tourist regions: Punta Cana and Puerto Plata.      Finally, and as the most important revelations, we can stress the following: there are important significant differences of satisfaction with the various leisure services analysed; there is a strong influence on the tourists’ leisure satisfaction arising from the tour operators’ activities in the destination.     El presente trabajo analiza el nivel de satisfacción de los clientes que viajan por medio de un paquete turístico ofertado por un turoperador. Se estudian los diferentes servicios relacionados con las actividades de ocio y el proceso de disfrute del tiempo libre en el destino; disponiéndose así de la satisfacción obtenida respecto a los principales componentes de estos servicios y sus implicaciones. En este sentido, se ha desarrollado un estudio empírico a través de 956 entrevistas personales realizadas en el destino de República Dominicana, y llevadas a cabo en sus dos principales zonas turísticas: Puerto Plata y Punta Cana.      Finalmente, se comentan las revelaciones más destacadas de este trabajo empírico, resaltando que existen importantes diferencias significativas respecto a la satisfacción de los clientes entre los distintos atributos de servicio prestado por el turoperador en el destino
