Add to ORKGThis research aims to analyze tourism regional organizations, focusing on «Abruzzo Promozione Turismo», the DMO of Abruzzo region (Italy), as the Italian legislation has just changed adding more competences to these organizations. This study outstands those functions assumed by this organization as its main actions established in two different directions: destination promotion (external and inner) and development of local resources. Moreover, the mechanism and functions of Abruzzo Promozione Turismo are analysed revealing control indexes used by this organization (current and future) and the process of evaluation and feed back.
