El universo judío de la Mallorca medieval y la historiografía decimonónica

During the nineteenth century studies of the Jews in the kingdom of Majorca were abundant. In this paper authors analyze the main lines of research are developed. Also the influence of certain institutions and publications as well as the contribution of authors from other countries in the study of Majorcan Jews. As we shall see, the works being performed at that time were and are fundamental today, had a very specific methodology and responded to the need to satisfy the knowledge of the characteristic medieval past.Durante el siglo XIX los estudios realizados sobre los judíos en el reino de Mallorca fueron abundantes. En este texto analizamos los principales autores y líneas de investigación que se desarrollan. También la influencia de algunas Instituciones y publicaciones, así como la contribución de autores de otros países al estudio de los judíos mallorquines. Como veremos, la obras que se realizaron en esa época fueron y son hoy en día fundamentales, tenían una metodología muy concreta y respondían a la necesidad de satisfacer el conocimiento por el pasado medieval muy característico
