In WL strict sensu Fichte sets the problem of individuality within his twofold concept of quintuplicity. On the one hand, quintuplicity is seen as the fundamental structure of intuition, i.e. as the necessary law to which life is submitted in his appearing. On the other hand, quintuplicity is oponed by the free acts through which the thinking I project itself on that appearance.
