LA PASIÓN DE LOS DIARIOS ÍNTIMOS: DEL NARCISISMO DE ELIADE AL SOLIPSISMO DE AMIEL

In this essay i want to explore the world of diary as special kind of autobiographical writing through Mircea Eliade´s journalism. Firstly, i will draft some suspicion about notion «authenticity» in this «literary genere» starting on his reflections on how to write a diary. In the second part i attempt to defend significance and magnitude of the diary in the narrative unity of an author as Eliade, whose anxiety about the problem of time was a sickly obsession along all his life. Besides this, the extraordinary instance of Amiel will help me to show some risks of this type of prose. At bottom of the question it will remain the problematic relationships between life and writing on the one hand, and between philosophy and literature on the other.En este ensayo quiero explorar el mundo del diario como una forma especial de escritura autobiográfica a través del diarismo de Mircea Eliade. Primero esbozaré alguna sospecha sobre la noción de «autenticidad» en este «género literario» a partir de sus reflexiones sobre cómo escribir un diario. En la segunda parte intento defender la importancia y magnitud del diario en la unidad narrativa de un autor como Eliade, cuya preocupación por el problema del tiempo fue una obsesión enfermiza a lo largo de toda su vida. Junto a esto, el extraordinario ejemplo de Amiel me ayudará a demostrar algunos riesgos de este tipo de prosa. En el fondo de la cuestión estarán las problemáticas relaciones que se dan, por una parte, entre vida y escrirura y entre filosofía y literatura, por otra
