The Spanish Regional Development Agencies (ADRs in their Spanish acronym) are organisms whose purpose is to promote the development of their regions, including direct support to firms established in their territories. This paper presents the results of a study conducted by means of a questionnaire whose objective was to determine the instruments and practices related to Competitive Intelligence (CI) developed by Spanish ADRs: the systems created, informative typologies and platforms used, functions of the IC units, training processes, personnel, membership of networks, and systems of promotion.
