SITUACIÓN ACTUAL DEL ANÁLISIS APLICADO DE LA CONDUCTA

The application of operant techniques has proliferated in recent years across diverse types of settings, populations, journals, scientific meetings and target behaviors. Certainly, the apperance of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis fostered this proliferation because it formalized the autonomy of a given area of research, the Applied Behavior Analysis. This article offers a short history of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, this journal is studied by means of socio-historiometric techniques. The analysis has been carried out in terms of the following indexes: the most productive authors, research groups, topics and most cited authors, works and journals. Likewise the place of this journal in present day psychology is discussed. The results shows a well structures area around a set of specific issues -including psychiarty, clinical psychology and education, among others- from a particular viewpoint, which in turn is defined by its own methodology and epistemology.A través de un enfoque historiométrico, basándose en una metodología objetiva y cuantitativa y en la hipótesis organizacional de la ciencia, se ha llevado a cabo el presente estudio del Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis (1984-1988). En él se han analizado distintas variables: autores más productivos, principales grupos de colaboración, temas de interés, análisis de referencias, autores y obras de más impacto, y fuentes de información. Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis se fundó por la Society for the Experimental Analysis of Behavior siguiendo la tradición operante del Journal of the Experimetal Analysis of Behavior, bajo la dirección de Montrose M. Wolf y del editor asociado D. M. Baer, como educación, Psicología clínica y psiquiatría entre otras, con fines terapéuticos, de rehabilitación o educativos, y con un fuerte énfasis en los aspectos metodológicos y de evaluación y medida de la eficacia terapéutica de técnicas y programas.
