Abstract

The increase of the intracranial pressure is a complex manifestation that is produced by a multiplicity of neurological diseases, frequently appearing in acute form and requiring surgery. Intracranial antihypertensive treatment is directed towards reducing intracranial pressure, increasing average arterial pressure and therefore maintaining a suitable cerebral perfusion. Objectives - To unify criteria in nursing care of cranial hypertension. Specialized nursing personnel are fundamental in diminishing the risks to the patient.
