This study aims to produce English learning model based on life skill and to investigate the effectiveness of the life skills based instructional model. It is a research and development which uses the R&D model by Borg and Gall and combined with the instructional design model by Dick and Carey. The research methodology consists of two phases. Phase I is to develop the learning media and trial process, Phase II is to test the effectiveness of the product. In the phase of validity and trial process, the instructional model is very proper to be used in learning English at training centers.
