Introduction: The root cyst originates from a periapical granuloma with preexisting epithelium, whichconstitutes a focus of granulation tissue, chronically inflamed, at the apex of a tooth without vitality. Theprevalence of the radicular cyst corresponds to about 60% of the maxillary and mandible cysts, representingthe most common odontogenic cysts.
