La teoría de la evolución desde una perspectiva filosófica

Even before modernity, the man has tried to explain the world and its phenomena through science. In this task, any other possible explanation has been disqualified and condemned to magic, superstition, ignorance and ingeniousness. Yet... Has this explanation been correct and sufficient? The excessive cult to the rationl faculty made science to lose perspective and to forget that reason is the only one possible way to see and express an infinite world inhebited by a complex being: the man. If it is true -although questionable- that science has helped to improve the quality of life, it is also true -no doubt about it- that life and its explanation cannot be reduced to science. The philosophic reflection around subjects considered as exclusively scientific, will add a broader and richer vision of these subjects. If the goal of science is to solve the problems of life, the goal of philosophy is to give sense and value to that life by  opening to new horizons, respecting differences, and conciliating the existent perspectives.Desde la modernidad -y aún antes de ella- el hombre ha tratado de explicar el mundo y sus fenómenos por medio de la ciencia, descalificando y condenando cualquier otro tió de explicación posible, bajo los nombres de magia, superstición, ignorancia, ingenuidad. Pero... ¿ha sido acertada y completa esa explicación? El culto desmedido a la razón hizo que la ciencia perdiera la perspectiva y le hizo olvidar, que ella es tan solo una de tantas maneras posibles, de ver y expresar un mundo infinito e inabarcable, habitado por un ser increíblemente complejo: el hombre. Y si bien es cierto -aunque cuestionable- que la ciencia ha ayudado a mejorar la calidad de la vida humana, también es cierto -y no cuestionable-, que esa vida y su explicación y posibilidades, no pueden reducirse a ella. La reflexión filosófica al rededor de temas considerados generalmente como exclusivos del parea científica, aportará una visión más amplia y enriquecedora sobre ellos; porque si el fin de la ciencia es resolver los problemas de la vida, el fin de la filosofía es darle sentido y valor a esa vida, abriendo nuevos horizontes, respetando las diferencias y recogiendo las múltiples perspectivas sin descalificar y condenar a ninguna
